‘This Is Kind of an Odd Comparison’

We all know how important it is to be able to compare athletes and their statistics, as that helps us determine who the best players of each sport are. But there’s a new statistic coming into play now called “total QBR”, which measures more than just stats like touchdowns, interceptions, etc. It also factors in things like yards gained or lost by an offense or defense over 100 plays for any given game.

The “odds comparison sites” is a website that allows users to compare the odds of various events. These websites allow users to see how likely they are to win based on the numbers.

The Tennessee Titans are right in the heart of things in the AFC after a poor start to the 2021 NFL season. They’re led by their great running back Derrick Henry, one of the league’s most dominating players. Brett Favre, a Hall of Fame quarterback, compared Henry to Randy Moss, one of the best wide receivers of all time.

Right now, Derrick Henry is playing like an MVP.

In his sixth NFL season, Derrick Henry is putting up ridiculous statistics. After the Titans selected him with the No. 45 overall choice in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, his career began slowly.

During the 2018 season, Henry began to find his stride. The former Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama carried for 1,059 yards and 12 touchdowns, including a 99-yard run.

The Titans have resurrected Henry as their workhorse. In 2019 and 2020, he led the NFL in run attempts, resulting to back-to-back rushing crowns for Henry.

For the third year in a row, Henry is on track to lead the league in rushing. On 162 carries, the 27-year-old has 783 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Tennessee’s passing offense has suffered under Ryan Tannehill, but Henry’s domination has given the club fresh energy.

Henry has been likened to Randy Moss by Brett Favre.

People in and around the NFL are awestruck by Derrick Henry’s brilliance. The latest to enter the fray is Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre.

In a recent interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Favre spoke about Henry’s resemblance to Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss.

“When I watch Derrick, he reminds me a lot of Randy Moss and how he dominated the game,” Favre told Titans Wire.

Moss, according to the Green Bay Packers great, never had a game that was too big for him. It’s the same with Henry VIII.

“Randy Moss would be the only one who could stop him.” Even when we double- and triple-covered him, he still made the plays. It doesn’t matter whether you put nine men in the box to stop Henry.”

Henry, like Moss, has deceiving speed, according to Favre. “They both seem to be barely sprinting, but they’re pulling away from others,” he observed. “I’m thinking, ‘Why doesn’t Derrick show some swagger?’ Then he sprints for 76 yards with no one catching up to him.”

Just like Moss, Henry is unstoppable.

At the running back position in the NFL, there is a lot of skill. Derrick Henry, on the other hand, is undoubtedly the guy who instills the most dread in opposing defensive coordinators.

The Yulee, Florida native is 6-foot-3 and 247 pounds, with a 40-yard sprint time of 4.54 seconds. There isn’t a player in the league who compares to him.

Henry earns a profession by running past defenders who are bigger than him and stiff-arming those who have little chance of bringing him down.

For the previous several seasons, the two-time Pro Bowler has dominated. Teams do not prepare for the Titans. They prepare for Henry in the same way that teams prepared for Randy Moss.

Moss was also unstoppable. He had an exceptional mix of stature, speed, and athleticism. He’s even got his own football maneuver named after him.

“You know you’re very good when you know someone is going to get the ball, either throwing or rushing, and you can’t stop him,” Brett Favre remarked.

Sure, it’s a strange analogy, but Favre has a point.

Pro Football Reference provided all stats.

With video game numbers, Derrick Henry is running over defenses and sprinting to the top of the NFL MVP conversation.

The “oddschecker” is a website that allows for comparison of sports players. It takes into account stats, age, position and other factors to come up with an overall score.
