The Boston Celtics are in the midst of a rebuild, but it appears they could be adding another superstar to their roster sooner rather than later. A recent report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski says that the Celtics have been “aggressively” pursuing Kevin Durant.
The celtics trade rumors 2021 is a recent report that states the Boston Celtics could form their new Big Three as soon as next offseason. This would be possible if Kyrie Irving and Jimmy Butler are traded to the Lakers.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, two of the NBA’s most promising young players, play for the Boston Celtics. However, they will need another star to create a Big Three if they are to have a realistic chance of contending for NBA championships.
The Celtics, who began the current Big Three era with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen, are on the outside looking in when it comes to teams with superstar trios, which is ironic. However, a possible trade next offseason might help them solve that issue, and they may be interested in doing so.
According to a recent rumor, the Boston Celtics are considering signing Chicago Bulls standout Zach LaVine.

The Celtics have been on the verge of winning an NBA championship for the last five seasons.
In 2016-17, they advanced to the conference finals with Isaiah Thomas and company, but were defeated in five games by the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Celtics returned to the conference finals in 2017-18, but with key players like Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward sidelined due to injury, they were defeated in seven games by the Cavaliers. The Celtics then fell in the first round to the Brooklyn Nets in 2021, after losing in the conference finals to the Heat in 2020.
However, the squad is still in a strong position.
Tatum, who averaged 26.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last season and was named to his second straight All-Star team, is one of the best scorers in today’s game for the Celtics. Brown, a first-time All-Star in 2020-21 with 24.7 points and 6.0 rebounds per game, is another top scorer on the team.
The two of them are also committed to Boston for the foreseeable future, with Tatum’s player option not expiring until 2025-26 and Brown’s unrestricted free agency expiring in 2024. Given their potential and the fact that they are basically the Celtics’ future, Boston has to take advantage of their present championship window by creating a Big Three to fight with the Nets, Lakers, and even the Milwaukee Bucks.
Zach LaVine might be useful in this situation.
Next summer, Boston may be interested in signing Zach LaVine.
For the Chicago Bulls, Zach LaVine has developed into one of the most gifted scorers in the NBA. In 2020-21, he led Chicago with 27.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.9 assists, earning him his first All-Star berth.
The Celtics may be interested in signing LaVine as an unrestricted free agency next summer, according to a report.
According to NBC Sports Boston, Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe recently stated that LaVine may be a possible target for the club in 2022. And if Bradley Beal chooses to remain or leave next summer, LaVine may be their top target.
The Celtics would obviously prefer Beal, who finished second in the NBA in scoring last season. If they can’t acquire the Wizards star and must settle with LaVine, a trio of him, Tatum, and Brown would be a formidable Big Three.
For the Celtics, a Big Three of Zach LaVine, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown would be terrifying.
With LaVine on board, the Celtics could easily compete with the Nets, Lakers, and Bucks.
Last season, he not only scored a career-high 27.4 points per game, but he also shot 50.7 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from 3-point range, also career highs. He’d be a great match with Tatum and Brown, who each averaged more than 7.0 long-range attempts per game last season and hit more than 38.5 percent of them.Â
With all three of them on the same team, it would be difficult for each of them to maintain a scoring average of over 24.0 points a night, but they would all be capable of dropping 30-plus points in any one game.
For defenders, that’s a terrible mismatch.
The Celtics, on the other hand, would only do this to attempt to win a championship, just like they did when they established their first Big Three in 2007, and none of these players have yet shown they are capable of doing so.
They would, however, all make Boston one of the league’s most talented teams, and skill counts for a lot when it comes to winning championships.
It’s unknown if the Cs are serious about pursuing LaVine, but if they do, he’d restore the team’s status as an NBA powerhouse.

Shaquille O’Neal mocks Dennis Schroder for being forced to sign a $5.9 million contract with the Celtics after turning down an offer of $84 million to stay with the Lakers.
The Boston Celtics could form their new big three as soon as next offseason if a recent report proves to be true. If the rumors are true, then Kyrie Irving and Jimmy Butler will join forces with Gordon Hayward and Al Horford. Reference: boston celtics trade.
