After the defeat, former Celtics point player Kemba Walker screamed, doubting the team’s effort.

Stevens took over the front office when Danny Ainge, the team’s president of basketball operations, resigned at the conclusion of the season. Ime Udoka was hired as the Celtics’ new head coach. There hasn’t been much of a shift thus far.
The Celtics came back from a fourth-quarter hole in the season opener, only to lose in double overtime on the road to the New York Knicks. It wasn’t so much the defeat in the game that bothered me. It was the fact that three players combined for 40 3-pointers. Tatum was 2-for-15 from three-point range. They scored 59 points as a group.
More surprising was the Raptors’ 115-83 triumph against the Celtics in Boston in their home opening on Friday. The lopsided defeat was terrible enough, but what Tatum, the team’s ostensible captain, said after the game should worry Celtics fans.
According to Mass Live, Tatum said, “We know why we lost.” “They simply played tougher and harder than we did.” It wasn’t a difficult task. We’re all grownups; we’re all professionals. We were able to comprehend what had occurred.”
Tatum may not be the Celtics’ projected leader.

This looks to be a Tatum-related problem.
How can a club playing in its season opening under a new coach not be aggressive and aggressive? Tatum’s responsibility as the team’s leader is to lead by example and put out the effort. Maybe he’s too secure in the knowledge that his financial future is secure.
