Curran inquired whether the older Brady felt vindicated by his son’s Super Bowl victory in his first year with the Buccaneers after 20 years with the Patriots.
The older Brady agreed, saying, “Damn right.” “You’re absolutely correct. Belichick wants him out the door as soon as possible. He tossed 56 touchdowns last season. That was a very excellent year, in my opinion.”
Brady Sr. indicated that the split between Brady and the Patriots was not amicable. He said that Belichick and the Patriots’ hierarchy wanted him out.
Curran then inquired whether Brady Sr. had the same sense of vindication as his son.
He replied, “Damn correct.” “You’re absolutely correct.”
Julian Edelman had an unusual reaction to Tom Brady’s homecoming.
Brady’s return to Foxborough on Oct. 3 is anticipated by more than just NFL fans. Brady’s former favorite target, Edelman, is also looking forward to seeing him play at Gillette Stadium. Brady, who is 44 years old, continues to play at a high level.
Brady’s unofficial retirement age has always been 45 years old. He just won his seventh Super Bowl, and he’s already off to a great start in 2021. Brady recently said on Tommy & Gronky, a Buccaneers sketch, that he thinks he can play until he is 50 years old.
Brady and Gronkowski took questions from the audience. One of them inquired about Brady’s ability to play at the age of 50.
“Wow. ‘Can Tom Brady play till he’s 50?’” seems to be a popular topic recently. Brady remarked.
“It isn’t as tough for me,” Brady added. “Plus, Florida is a retiree state, so I feel like I can play and then retire.” I believe I am capable of participating. “I believe the answer is yes.”
So there’s a possibility Brady could play in the NFL for another five years or more, but next week may be the most thrilling of them.
