Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time and has been a model citizen in his 16-year career, but he’s also one of the most notorious players when it comes to retirement talk.
Tom Brady just upped the ante when it comes to retirement talk. The New England Patriots quarterback has announced that he will play for at least another year, which is a huge surprise considering his age.
By now, we should all know better than to mistrust Tom Brady. At the age of 44, the ageless marvel continues to outwork, dazzle, and outwin everyone. Brady once said that his aim was to play until he was 45 years old, and the skeptics were out in force. When it comes to his eventual retirement, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback has just raised the ante.
Tom Brady isn’t slowing down any time soon.

Brady, despite his age, still has the appearance of a young puppy on the field. Brady added his seventh Super Bowl ring despite a change of scenery, playing in Tampa, following 20 years and six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots. Retirement has long been a topic of discussion. Brady is unconcerned about it. When it is brought up to him, he mentions it.
The topic of retiring came up before he won the Super Bowl with the Bucs.
According to ESPN, Brady stated in February, “I believe I’ll know when it’s time.” “I’m not sure when that moment will arrive. But I believe I’ll figure it out. And I’m sure you’ll agree that I gave this game all I had. You put a lot of effort into it. I don’t believe I’d ever be able to play this game half-assed. I’ll have to put all I’ve got into it.
“I believe it’s probably time to walk away when I put it all out there, when I don’t feel like I can do it anymore, when I don’t feel like I can commit to the team in the manner that the team needs me.”
All of it appeared to go away when his Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs.
When it comes to retirement speculation, Tom Brady just raised the ante.
Brady and Buccaneers teammate Rob Gronkowski recently reunited for another edition of Tommy and Gronky. The duo responded to the most frequently asked questions about them on Google. The first thing Brady was asked was if he believes he can play until he is 50 years old.
“Wow. “Can Tom Brady play till he’s 50?” seems to be a popular topic recently. As he and Gronk lounged on beach chairs at the stadium, Brady remarked.
45 has always been the magic number. That was the ideal age, but he’s just returned from a Super Bowl with a different club.
Is 50 the new “it” number?
“It isn’t as tough for me,” Brady added. “Plus, Florida is a retiree state, so I feel like I can play and then retire.” I believe I am capable of participating. “I believe the answer is yes.”
Brady believes 50 is attainable, but Gronk had a more pressing issue.

With the way things are going for Brady, 50 may be a realistic target for him to achieve. Despite his willingness to give it a go, Gronk questioned whether Brady would have the ultimate word.
“You know, I think that question has a little twist to it,” Gronkowski remarked. “I believe the question is, ‘Will Gisele let Tom play until he’s 50?’ That is the actual issue.”
Brady said, “That is a much better question.” “In fact, why wouldn’t they Google that?” says the narrator. That is, of course, a no to that response.”
Brady then took a breather to clarify that he was kidding.
He laughed and replied, “I’m just joking.” “I apologize, sweetheart. I’m in love with you. I’m sure you’d agree. You’d let me do anything I wanted as long as I was happy.”
For Brady, 50 seems to be the new 45.
