Gruden has been the Raiders’ head coach since 2016, and he is on his third contract with Oakland. The team won a combined six games in his first two years, but they have improved to five wins this season.
Jon Gruden is the head coach of the Oakland Raiders. In his first year with the team, he has a record of 2-6. This win-loss record since 2018 confirms that he may be the Raiders’ biggest problem.
Jon Gruden is unlikely to leave the Raiders anytime soon. His contract is up in seven years, and he has established himself as the organization’s leading voice.
However, it doesn’t absolve him of responsibility when it comes to the Raiders’ recent problems.
In the past three years, Jon Gruden has lost 29 games.
In the previous three seasons, the following teams have suffered the most losses: Adam Gase (32), Doug Marrone (36), Doug Marrone (36), Doug Marrone (36), Doug Marrone (36), Doug Marrone (36), (fired) Matt Patricia is 29 years old (fired) Jon Gruden is a 29-year-old quarterback (7 years left on contract)

The Raiders are a fascinating club to evaluate.
In 2016, they finished 12-4 under the direction of Jack Del Rio, with Khalil Mack earning Defensive Player of the Year. Although the Raiders did not progress beyond the Wild-Card Round that season, many fans were hopeful about the team’s future path. Derek Carr seemed to be a franchise quarterback, Mack was the league’s greatest defense, and Del Rio’s coaching reputation remained unblemished.
Following a dismal 6-10 season in 2017, the club made the decision to undergo a significant makeover.
Gruden was given a 10-year deal by the Raiders to take over for Del Rio. They also started looking at relocating from Oakland to Las Vegas. It was a lot of change all at once, and it created a lot of enthusiasm around the brand.
Gruden, on the other hand, has failed to live up to the expectations.
Under Gruden, the Raiders have yet to make the playoffs, and he has a record of 29 defeats since taking charge. The same amount of defeats as Matt Patricia’s tenure as head coach of the Detroit Lions, which he has since been dismissed.

For what it’s worth, Gruden took over the Raiders in a tumultuous scenario in 2018. The roster wasn’t in great shape, and it was just getting worse.
That said, three years later, that justification is beginning to sound hollow. This summer, Gruden totally revamped the squad, including parting ways with top offensive lineman Gabe Jackson and Rodney Hudson:
If there was any doubt, the Las Vegas Raiders are clearly Coach Jon Gruden’s squad in his fourth season as the Silver and Black’s head coach, after trimming down to the 53-man roster limit for the 2021 season.
Only quarterback Derek Carr, linebacker Nicholas Morrow, and running back Jalen Richard, who has been dealing with a foot ailment before training camp started, are still on the Raiders’ roster from 2017, when owner Mark Davis dismissed Coach Jack Del Rio following a 6-10 season and replaced him with Gruden.

Gruden isn’t the Raiders’ general manager, technically speaking. He and GM Mike Mayock, on the other hand, have a constructive connection. When it comes to roster choices, Gruden has a lot of say. Gruden has unquestionably constructed the squad he expects to play in Week 1.
What does the future hold for the Raiders?

It may seem unfathomable to fire Gruden four years into his decade-long deal, but the Raiders will have to consider it if he fails to produce a postseason berth this season.
Gruden has been given complete control over the Las Vegas roster, allowing him to rebuild and remold it in his image. So far, the outcomes have been disappointing. The fact that the team has lost 29 games since 2018 speaks for itself.
The extent of Gruden’s internal pressure from Raiders ownership is unclear, but the external pressure is considerable. The majority of Raiders supporters are hoping for a successful season in 2021.
