Despite this, he put on an impressive performance against Wisconsin. In overtime, he threw a touchdown pass with less than two minutes left in regulation that would have won the game if it hadn’t been intercepted by Wisconsin’s Jack Cichy. However, he still showed incredible resilience and toughness by playing through injuries all night long.

Burrow remained unflappable, and one can only image how much agony he was in after the tremendous blow. Despite all of this, the kid stood strong, delivered strike after strike, and the Bengals would be 4-1 if it weren’t for a pair of missed field goals.

In any case, this youthful Bengals squad is for serious, as they showed against last year’s NFC runner-ups.

Going ahead, all eyes will be on Burrow’s situation.

If Burrow is unable to play next weekend due to injury, Brandon Allen will take his place against the winless Detroit Lions. Burrow, as tough as he is, is unlikely to miss the game, particularly given that he played a significant portion of the Packers’ game with the injury.

Unfortunately, Burrow’s heroic performance will be overshadowed by the blunder he made in overtime. Burrow did all he could, even if he didn’t give it his all, and hopefully he won’t have to miss any time after his freshman season was cut short due to an ACL injury.
